K-Electric has announced a scheduled maintenance shutdown across several power feeders in different parts of Karachi on Thursday, August 6, 2026, as part of its routine maintenance and network improvement program.
According to the official maintenance schedule, electricity supply will remain suspended in the affected areas for varying durations between 8:30 AM and 8:00 PM.
The maintenance activity will impact a wide range of residential, commercial, and industrial localities, including 51-C Area, Airport Telephone Exchange, Aleemabad, Asim RMU, Baray Wala RMU, Block-5 RMU, Dawat-e-Hidayat (Old Saifee Foundation), Deh Landhi, Eid Gah RMU, Ejaz Ansari RMU, Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation, Ghaniabad RMU, Gulbahar, Harmain Builders, International Ceramic, Kathiawar Society, Lashari Goth, Mehran Bottler, Naz Ice, Nisar Shaheed Park, Old Thana RMU, Plastic Crafter (Universal Tex.), Pole-20, Poly Trade, Raja Traders, Sadiq Re-Rolling, Saffron Engineering, Sallu Garden, Sector-D S/S-3, Shaez Residency, Talha Cottages, UBL Sports, Uni Gold RMU, and Uthal Bazar.
Most feeders will remain without electricity from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, while some locations have different schedules. Asim RMU and Raja Traders are expected to experience outages from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Eid Gah RMU from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, International Ceramic from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Mehran Bottler and Sadiq Re-Rolling from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Pole-20 from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Saffron Engineering from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Uthal Bazar from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

K-Electric stated that the shutdown is necessary to carry out essential maintenance work aimed at improving the reliability, safety, and stability of the power distribution network.
Consumers residing in the affected areas have been advised to plan their daily activities accordingly and take necessary precautions during the scheduled outage period.
The utility has also urged customers to stay updated through its official communication channels for any revisions to the maintenance schedule or restoration timelines.
