An FIR was lodged in the Green Town police station on the complaint of Imam Masjid Irshad-Ul-Rehman.
A complaint stated that PLMN leaders tried to incite violence against the former Prime Minister Imran Khan by spreading lies. The complainant accused Javed Latif of deliberately instigating the populace while working with Marriyum Aurangzeb and other individuals.
The FIR also stated that top officials of Pakistan Television (PTV) provided full support to the PML-N leader.
The FIR filed against the PML-N politicians was shared on Twitter by Punjab’s home minister. Hashim Dogar said incitement of sectarian hatred and violence against any citizen, including [PTI Chairman] Imran Khan will not be allowed.

Earlier this month, Javed Latif had used ‘religious card’ to spread hatred against the former premier through the state-owned PTV.
Leaders of the PTI blasted the PML-N-led coalition government for weaponizing religion to instill and spread hatred against party chief.
Moreover, the coalition government, led by PMLN, came under fire on Twitter for “spewing venomous” propaganda on Imran Khan in an effort to make him a “boogeyman” for the populace. They also expressed disbelief that such inflammatory statements were broadcast on national television.
