ISLAMABAD: The students of the federal capital’s Sector F-7 today (Thursday) boycotted exams and held a protest against the administration’s decision to conduct examinations.
According to details, the students gathered outside the National Press Club, holding banners and placards, and expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of online teaching.
While talking to M.M News, the students said that other colleges affiliated with Punjab University have been promoted to the next classes during the coronavirus pandemic.
The students were of the opinion that they were being forced to appear in the examination for the promotion to the next class. “On what basis was the varsity then conducting these examinations, the students demanded to know.
On the occasion, the parents of the students said that they have paid all the fees of colleges during the coronavirus pandemic but still the future of our children was at stake.
“However, the Education Minister has announced that all students will be facilitated to be promoted to the next classes without taking the exam,” the parents added.
The student and their parents have appealed to the federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood and higher authorities to take notice of the issue immediately.
