ISLAMABAD: The district police today (Tuesday) have arrested a kidnapper and recovered an abducted boy, who went missing from Rawalpindi’s Khayaban-e-Sir Syed area.
According to details, the boy’s father lodged a report with Tarnol police station that his son had been missing since morning. The complainant stated that he along with family members tried to trace him but no clue was found.
Following this complaint, DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed constituted a special team headed by Tarnol police station Station House Officer (SHO). The constituted team started the investigation and succeeded to trace the missing boy Yousaf and arrested the accused Yaseen.
The kidnapper was trying to shift the abducted boy at his hideout in a rickshaw when the police team intercepted him and recovered the boy. Later, the police reunited him with his family after completing the legal proceedings.
Earlier in January, Quetta Police Deputy Inspector General Abdul Razzaq Cheema said that the police had busted a gang of kidnappers and recovered 11-year-old Waleed safely from their custody.
