Hollywood star Anne Hathaway sent the internet into a pleasant shock when she casually dropped “InshaAllah” during an interview while expressing hope that she would live a long and healthy life.
It should be noted that “InshaAllah” means “God willing” in Arabic.
In a video shared by People magazine, Anne Hathaway reflected on life in her 40s, saying, “I want to live a long, healthy life, InshaAllah, I hope so.”
She explained that reaching this stage allows a person to look back and see how certain decisions have paid off over time, making it easier to decide whether to continue on the same path or make different choices.

Hathaway added that age has deepened her understanding of the phrase “take it with a grain of salt,” and taught her to truly appreciate staying calm and relaxed.
She also offered a striking perspective on growing older, saying that in life “you can either fear aging, or you can fear dying young,” a thought many felt was worth remembering.
While her interview was filled with thoughtful insights, many online users fixated on her use of “InshaAllah.”
Several were pleasantly surprised, with one noting that her accurate pronunciation suggested she was very familiar with the phrase.
