India diverts attention when trapped in domestic problems: FM

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that India always tried to divert the attention of the world when trapped in domestic problems.
The foreign minister said that an extraordinary movement was being reported along the Line of Control (LoC) and Pakistani armed forces were fully ready to respond to any aggression.
Warning the Indian government, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Pakistan would respond aggressively in case of any cross border misadventure.
According to Qureshi, it was a planned conspiracy of India to divert the world from the Indian citizenship law. The foreign minister said that different states also rejected to follow the controversial law.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s move to drive the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) through the Parliament of India last week has ignited nationwide protests that have often turned violent, with six people killed and students attacked.
The law gives migrants fleeing persecution from neighbouring Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh an easier path to citizenship, except that Muslims 14 percent of India’s population are excluded.
