ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said New Delhi’s actions in Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK) could escalate more tensions in South Asia.
The foreign minister while highlighting the alarming situation in IoK said that he has been consistently updating the United Nations Security Council and the UN Secretary-General on the grave situation in the held valley.
Qureshi notified the UN Security Council and Secretary-General on Indian actions that continued to escalate tensions in an already tense environment in South Asia.
According to Qureshi, the Hindutva theory has gripped whole India, whereas, protests and bloodshed were continued across the neighbouring country against the controversial citizenship bill.
The grave condition and curfew continue on the 137th consecutive day today in IoK.
People in IoK continue to keep their shops closed except for a brief period in the morning and evening and stay away from schools and offices as a mark of silent protest.
