The Copa América 2024 will start in the United States on June 20, culminating in the final on July 14.
Organized jointly by CONMEBOL and CONCACAF, the 48th edition of the tournament will feature 16 competing teams—10 from CONMEBOL and 6 from CONCACAF. The opening match will see defending champions Argentina facing off against Canada, promising an exciting start to the tournament.
With 16 teams participating, this year’s Copa América promises heightened excitement and competition. This tournament holds potential significance as possibly the final major event for Lionel Messi. Should Argentina reach the final, it could serve as a poignant farewell, akin to the recent World Cup.
The group stage will run until July 2, followed by the quarterfinals scheduled for July 4-6. The semifinals will be held on July 9-10 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. The third-place match is slated for July 13 in Charlotte, with the final taking place at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on July 14.
Argentina leads as the favorite to defend their title at +175, according to BetMGM Sportsbook, closely followed by Brazil at +225, and Uruguay as the third choice at +500.
