Last night, several social media sites went down due to outages globally which resulted in some funniest memes sparked by netizens in their leisure.
Though some of the sites went down, Twitter was there for the rescue, so Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram took to the social networking site to announce that they were working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible.
“We’re aware that some people are having trouble accessing our apps and products. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience,” a Facebook spokesperson said.

Later, Twitter tweeted for the millions of social media users outside “Hello literally everyone”, which was then retweeted million times in just three hours. The outage then made an influx of users to Twitter for generating some funniest memes.
Some of the viral memes include, one was shared showing Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook founder) fixing the wires as a technician. In another one, people were shown as mourning over the grave of sites whose services were affected and Twitter posing over it. Let’s have a look:

However, the outage remained there for at least 8 hours causing a $160m (£117 million) cost to the global economy. The reasons are still not confirmed by Facebook, but according to experts, it may have been caused by some internal errors.
