Health experts have made a revelation regarding the ability to learn in children and adults.
According to a German neurologist, the memory of children is faster than that of adults, which is mainly due to the chemical component called Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid or GABA.
According to experts, the GABA chemical in children’s brain becomes very active during their acquisition process, which allows them to absorb a large amount of information and experiences.
German neurologists conducted an analysis in which they used the latest technology functional MRS to observe that when children receive new information, they have brain waves during this time. The activity of the cortex (visual cortex) is higher or lower than in adults.

For this experiment, 55 children aged 8 to 11 years and 56 youths aged 18 to 35 years were selected and their minds were examined at different times. During the experiment, GABA levels remained the same in the brains of young adults, while GABA activity increased during learning and studying in children, even after the learning process.
According to experts, GABA is an important chemical component that plays an important role in learning new things and information and storing information in long-term memory.
Later, the same team of scientists also conducted behavioral acquisition exercises on children and adults, which found that after learning new information, the children were not tired, and after the next ten minutes, they were again engaged in the process of learning and reading. This is why children learn very quickly and try to store large amounts of information in their minds.
