KARACHI: Leader of Opposition in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Shaikh has resigned as Senior Vice President of provincial organisation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sindh.
In a letter to PTI Secretary-General Central Secretariat, Haleem Adil announced his resignation, saying that he is working as Leader of Opposition in Sindh and a party worker. “My movement and mobilization all over the Sindh makes me very busy and this will be unjust for the position,” he wrote.
Shaikh said he duly resigns from PTI Senior Vice President Sindh. A copy of his resignation has been sent to PTI Sindh President Ali Zaidi. Meanwhile, Ali Junejo has also resigned as Vice President of PTI Sindh after the list of newly-appointed office bearers was issued.
According to a notification, Allah Bux Unar, Shakoor Shad, Tahir Shah and Haleem Adil Sheikh have been appointed as Senior Vice President. Ali Junejo, Lal Malhi, Agha Arsalan, Raja Azhar, Gul M. Rind, and Sidra Imran were appointed as Vice President.
Ali Palh has been appointed as Additional Secretary General; Raja Khan Jakhrani, Zulfiqar Shah, and Advocate Lakpat Bheel as Deputy Secretary General; Arsalan Taj Ghuman as Information Secretary; Shozeb Kapadia as Finance Secretary; and Arsalan Mirza as Additional Finance Secretary.
PTI has also announced office bearers for Sindh. In Sukkur Division, Dr Ghulam Ali Abbas (Pappu Shah) has been appointed as President and Shakir Shah as Secretary General.
In Larkana Division, Ghali Khan Domki has been appointed as President and Agha Shams as Secretary General. In Mirpurkhas, Syed Mumtaz Shah has been appointed as President and Akbar Palli as Secretary General.
In Hyderabad Division, Khawan Bux Junejo has been appointed as President and Wing Cdr (retd) Q Mohammad Hakim as Secretary General, while in Nawabshah, Inayat Rind and Aman Qazi have been appointed as President and Secretary General respectively.
