ISLAMABAD: The Federal Government has formed has constituted a 3-members probe committee to investigate the assassination of prominent journalist Arshad Sharif in Kenya.
According to a notification issued by the federal Inteior Ministry, the probe committee comprises members from FIA, IB, and ISI, according to the notification. The investigation team includes ISI Lt Col Saad Ahmed, Deputy Director-General IB Shahid Hamid, and FIA Director Athar Waheed.
The move by the Federal government came hours after DG ISPR, while talking to a private TV channel, asked the federal government to conduct a “high-level investigation” into the killing of senior journalist Arshad Sharif by Kenyan law enforcement officials.

Earlier, the General Headquarters of Pakistan Army (GHQ) also wrote a letter to the federal government, seeking to form an inquiry commission to investigate into the killing of prominent Pakistani journalist Arshad Sharif.
