KARACHI: Sindh Governor Imran Ismail has urged the nation to follow in the footsteps of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in all walks of life as an effort to make Pakistan a strong and prosperous country.
Governor Imran his message vowed to continue to work for the progress, prosperity and security of the beloved homeland as a nation of the country in accordance with the wishes of the Quaid-i-Azam.
“We are trying our best and God willing the time to come will prove that the Pakistan that Quaid-e-Azam envisioned was correct,” he said.
Today in India, Muslims, Sikhs, farmers and other minorities are being ridiculed Governor Ismail said, adding that even in occupied Kashmir, the life span of Muslims has been curtailed.”
He said that all minorities living in Pakistan had full religious freedom and all rights, as they had as much share in our parliament as others and they had as much freedom of speech as anyone else has. He further said that Imran Khan’s leadership was taking Pakistan in the footsteps of Quaid-e-Azam.
The nation is celebrating Pakistan Day to mark the endorsement of the Lahore Resolution, also known as the Pakistan Resolution, which was passed on 23 March 1940. On this occasion, the idea of the creation of Pakistan as a separate motherland for the Muslim population of the subcontinent was accepted.
The Lahore Resolution of March 23 symbolized a dividing line in modern Indian history. It declared self-perceived nationhood for the 90 million Indian Muslims who had been pleased with being marginal for almost 75 years since the 1860s.
