Gold prices hit an all-time high in Pakistan on Wednesday following a Rs. 2,300 increase in per tola of 24-karat gold. Data shared by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association revealed.
With this increase, the per tola rate of 24-karat gold now stands at Rs. 264,000, the highest in Pakistan’s history. The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold reached Rs.226,337 after an increase of 1972, while the 10 grams of 22-karat gold price is now 207,476.
The precious metal also became more expensive in the international market, rising by $23 to $2,524 per ounce.

The price of per tola and ten-gram silver remained constant at Rs.2,900 and Rs.2,486.28 respectively. A day earlier, the price of per tola gold increased by Rs1,300 in Pakistan.
It should be noted that last month the price of per tola of 24-karat gold had hit Rs. 263,700, however later the prices of yellow metal witnessed a drop. Any change in the prices of the international market directly affects prices in Paksitani local market.
