Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a significant drop, with the rate per tola decreasing by Rs2,000 to settle at Rs318,000 on Tuesday.
Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold declined by Rs1,715, now standing at Rs272,633, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
This decline aligns with a global downtrend in gold prices amid ongoing economic uncertainties. On Saturday, gold had peaked at Rs320,000 per tola after a sharp single-day decrease of Rs5,500.
Internationally, the price of gold also dipped, with APGJSA reporting a reduction of $28, bringing the rate to $3,010 per ounce.
Meanwhile, silver prices followed a similar pattern, registering a Rs50 drop per tola, which now stands at Rs3,170. The shifts in both gold and silver prices reflect broader market fluctuations influenced by international economic conditions.
