KARACHI: Gold prices on Friday remained unchanged in Pakistan due to the stability of the yellow metal on the global market.
According to prices released by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the 10-gram gold was sold for Rs195,945 while the price per tola of gold remained stable at Rs228,550 in the local market.
Pakistan’s gold prices rose by Rs 250 per tola on Thursday.
According to APGJSA, the international rate for gold on Friday stayed steady at $2,188 per ounce, with a $20 premium.
Silver prices, meanwhile, stayed steady at Rs 2,600 per tola.
Moreover, the rupee saw marginal improvement against the US dollar, appreciating 0.01% in the inter-bank market.
At close, the local unit settled at 278.74, up by Re0.03 against the greenback, as per the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
On Thursday, the rupee registered a marginal improvement to settle at 278.77 against the US dollar, according to the SBP.
