KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan dipped on Monday following the decline in the international market. The yellow metal lost Rs600 during the day and was trading at Rs226,900 per tola.
The All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) released rates that show that the 10-gram gold was sold for Rs194,530, down Rs515.
Pakistan’s gold prices fell by Rs. 1,050 a tola on Saturday.
Following a $5 drop in the international market, the international rate of gold was established at $2,170 per ounce on Monday with a $20 premium, according to APGJSA.
Meanwhile, silver rates decreased by Rs20 to settle at Rs2,580 per tola.
Moreover, the rupee registered marginal improvement against the US dollar, appreciating 0.04% in the inter-bank market on Monday.
At close, the local unit settled at 278.63, up by Re0.11 against the greenback, as per the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
