KARACHI: Sindh High Court has taken suo motu notice of media reports regarding the gang-rape of a minor girl in Karachi.
Chief Justice of Sindh High Court, Justice Ahmed Ali M Shaikh took notice of the incident and summoned DIG South to appear in person on October 27 at 1 pm. Beside him, the SSP Investigation South One has also been summoned to appear in person.
According to Registrar Sindh High Court, the police officers should appear with the reports regarding the investigation of the gang-rape incident.
The Registrar said that the Chief Justice took notice of the incident on the news published in newspapers.
Earlier last night, Local Police claimed to have arrested two prime suspects involved in gang-rape of a 9-year-old homeless girl. The 9-year-old minor girl was reportedly gang-raped was kidnapped and gang-raped by unknown persons who later abandoned her outside a Clifton shopping mall on Sunday.
