KARACHI: The FPCCI held a gathering of e-commerce trainers and practitioners to educate and train businessmen and entrepreneurs on getting started and profitably selling globally through Amazon.
FPCCI President Mian Nasser Hyatt Maggo expressed satisfaction that top talent from Pakistan and beyond have attended the seminar and made their presentations based on real-world practices and success stories. He appreciated the participants for making the awareness session a success and one of the best since Amazon has included Pakistan in its official seller’s list.
He said that there is a potential to sell billions of worth of products globally from Pakistan including – but not limited to – textiles, hosiery, handicrafts, toys, gift items, cultural products, cutlery and crockery, sports goods, hygiene products, books, plastic products and more.
He thanked Ministry of Commerce, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and Amazon for making it possible for Pakistani businessmen to start selling again using Amazon’s platform. He also extended FPCCI’s support in order to make full use of the opportunity.
The awareness session was well attended by e-commerce leaders of Pakistan and representatives of allied industries like financial institutions, internet and other digital services providers and academic researchers.
VP FPCCI Ather Sultan Chawla said that FPCCI is committed to helping businesses tap new markets and new avenues to grow and diversify through use of digital platforms and Amazon is the best platform internationally to sell globally.
Chairman, Pak-UK Business Council FPCCI Mr Imran Khalil Naseer apprised the audience on the enormous potential that Amazon selling can offer to Pakistan and how that can be sustainably enhanced over the coming years.
He said FPCCI is willing to continue to impart practical knowledge to its members, entrepreneurs, and SMEs to launch or grow their businesses and make a mark on global stage.
