Foreign Currencies Update: Pakistani Rupee Sees Mixed Trends Against Major Currencies

KARACHI: The latest foreign exchange rates for various currencies have been released in the Pakistani market.

In the open market, the US Dollar is being bought at PKR 278.05 and sold at PKR 278.35. The British Pound is being bought at PKR 373.25 and sold at PKR 377.65, while the Euro is available at a buying rate of PKR 319.00 and a selling rate of PKR 323.98.

Furthermore, the Saudi Riyal is being bought at PKR 73.95 and sold at PKR 74.50, and the UAE Dirham is recorded with a buying rate of PKR 75.75 and a selling rate of PKR 76.40.

The Australian Dollar is trading at a buying rate of PKR 196.73 and a selling rate of PKR 201.15. The Canadian Dollar’s buying and selling rates stand at PKR 196.88 and PKR 201.70 respectively, while the Chinese Yuan is being bought at PKR 38.25 and sold at PKR 38.97. The Japanese Yen has an open market buying rate of PKR 1.7339 and a selling rate of PKR 1.8337.

Interbank Market
In the interbank market, the US Dollar was recorded with a bank buying rate of PKR 277.10 and a selling rate of PKR 277.60.

The Euro is being bought at PKR 316.65 and sold at PKR 317.22, whereas the British Pound holds a buying rate of PKR 369.02 and a selling rate of PKR 369.69. The interbank buying rate for the Saudi Riyal is PKR 73.77 with a selling rate of PKR 73.90, and the Japanese Yen is being traded at a buying rate of PKR 1.7577 and a selling rate of PKR 1.7609.

Additionally, in the interbank market, the Swiss Franc is being bought at PKR 337.80 and sold at PKR 338.40; the Singapore Dollar stands at a buying rate of PKR 217.23 and a selling rate of PKR 217.62; and the Hong Kong Dollar is being bought at PKR 35.33 and sold at PKR 35.39.
