NEW YORK: Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari held a bilateral Meeting with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in New York on Wednesday.
During the meeting, views were exchanged on matters of mutual interest.
Bilawal reached New York on a commercial flight and was received by Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN Ambassador Munir Akram and Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US Masood Khan.
To welcome Bilawal to New York, Deputy Permanent Representative Ambassador Aamir Khan, NY Consul-General Ayesha Ali and other officers from the permanent mission of Pakistan to the UN and Embassy were also present.
Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto to participate in the Ministerial meeting on “Global Food Security Call to Action” to be held at the United Nations on Wednesday.
The meeting will bring together a regionally diverse group of countries including those most affected by food insecurity and those in a position to take action to address it.
The Foreign Minister will also participate in the Open Debate of the UN Security Council on “Maintenance of International Peace and Security – Conflict and Food Security” tomorrow.
He will also meet US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
