Flour mill owners have announced the closure of their mills across the country from July 11 against heavy taxes, raising fears of a new crisis.
Asim Raza, the Central Chairman of the Pakistan Flour Mills Owners Association, announced unanimous decisions after consulting with the owners of flour mills nationwide.
According to a statement issued for the media, all decisions were made unanimously through mutual consultation among the mill owners.
The statement revealed that the flour mill owners have mutually agreed to shut down all flour mills in the country from Thursday, July 11.
In his statement, Asim Raza, the central head of the Pakistan Flour Mills Owners Association, made it clear that if the government does not heed the legitimate demands of the flour mill owners, they will completely halt the supply of flour across Pakistan starting Thursday.
He emphasized that the government must accept the legitimate demands of the flour mill owners to maintain the supply of flour.
