QUAIDABAD: A father and son were killed after being electrocuted while cleaning a swimming pool in Quaidabad, rescue officials said.
According to Rescue authorities, the incident occurred while the two were carrying out maintenance work on the pool. During the cleaning process, an electrical fault developed in the wiring connected to a motor, resulting in both men receiving a fatal electric shock. They died at the scene.
Rescue teams reached the site shortly after being alerted and transferred the bodies to a nearby hospital to complete the necessary legal formalities.
Police and local authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
In a separate incident, a man was killed after being struck by a train near Sui Gas Road in the Gulberg III area of Lahore.
Rescue 1122 officials said emergency teams responded immediately after receiving reports of the accident. The deceased was identified as 34-year-old Naseem.
Following the completion of initial procedures, Rescue 1122 handed the body over to the local police for legal formalities. Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the fatal incident.
