A man has died after falling from the third floor of a government hospital in Islamabad. The local police believed that it could be a case of suicide.
According to local media reports citing police sources, the incident took place within the jurisdiction of Karachi Company police station.
The deceased was employed as a laboratory technician at RL Hospital. He had arrived for duty in the morning and reportedly went to the third floor of the hospital, where he allegedly jumped.
Police said that Umar Mukhtar died on the spot. Initial information suggests that the 48-year-old was the father of five children.
Authorities said that the cause of the incident is still unknown, and further investigations are ongoing.
It is worth mentioning that early this year, a female student allegedly jumped from the University of Lahore (UOL) building.
The incident reignited public debate and student protests surrounding severe academic pressure, student mental health, and campus safety.
