Pakistani actor Fahad Sheikh has publicly apologised to veteran actor and writer Mohammed Ahmed. Sharing details of the whole scenario, he said a recently-circulated video was taken out of context and it did not reflect what actually happened on the sets.
Sharing a series of Instagram stories, Fahad said that “half-cooked stories are always dangerous” because they create a false narrative.
He insisted there was never any intention to bully Mohammed Ahmed and said their relationship on set was more like that of a family.
“On set we don’t work as co-actors, we bond like a family who laughs together, eats with each other and shares grievances,” he wrote.
Fahad further said that he had already apologised to Mohammed Ahmed privately.
However, if the veteran actor felt that a personal apology was not enough, he wanted to apologise publicly as well.
“And if Ahmed sb thinks my personal apology was not enough for him, I apologise to him on this platform as well. I hope you don’t keep any grudges against me because I would never think of insulting my seniors in any case,” he added.
The actor said that legal action is being initiated against those who circulated the clip, alleging that it was misleading and presented the incident without proper context.
The clarification comes after Mohammed Ahmed recently recalled a painful experience during an appearance on Sheeba Khan’s Dareecha podcast.
Without naming the actor involved, he said that a now-famous younger star repeatedly mocked his appearance, acting style and hairstyle in front of the cast and crew, leaving him publicly humiliated.
He said he chose not to react because he did not want to stoop to the actor’s level.
