Dwayne Johnson tops list of highest-earning male actors

NEW YORK: Wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne Johnson has been listed as the world’s highest-paid male actors for a second consecutive year.
Also known as ‘The Rock’, Dwayne Johnson earned US$87.5 million from 1st June 2019 to 1st June 2020,  including US$23.5 million from Netflix Inc to star in movie thriller Red Notice.
Dwayne is followed by Ryan Reynolds who has earned US$71.5 million for the one-year period. Ryan has co-starred in Red Notice alongside Dwayne Johnson. He earned US$20 million for that film, plus another US$20 million for Netflix movie ‘Six Underground’.
Forbes revealed that Actor and producer Mark Wahlberg listed third with US$58 million followed by actors Ben Affleck and Vin Diesel with US$55 million and US$54 million respectively.

From Bollywood, Akshay Kumar is the only actor to have landed in the top ten at the sixth place with earnings of US$48.5 million. As per Forber Magazine, most of his income came from product endorsements.
Lin-Manuel Miranda, Will Smith, Adam Sandler, and martial arts star Jackie Chan also made places in the top ten actors. The figures are pre-tax and do not include deductions for fees given to agents, managers, and lawyers, Forbes said.

8) Margot Robbie: $23.5 million
9) Charlize Theron: $23 million
10) Ellen Pompeo: $22 million
