Pop star Dua Lipa has filed a $15 million lawsuit against Samsung, accusing the company of using her image on television packaging without authorization.
The lawsuit, filed in the US District Court for the Central District of California, claims Samsung displayed a photograph of the singer’s face on several TV boxes sold across the United States.
According to the filing, the company intentionally used her image to attract consumers and boost product sales by taking advantage of her global popularity and commercial appeal.

The lawsuit alleges copyright infringement, trademark infringement, and misappropriation of Lipa’s likeness. Court documents say the image was captured during her performance at the 2024 Austin City Limits Festival, and that Lipa owns the copyright to the photograph.
She reportedly discovered the packaging in June 2025 after fans began sharing photos online and nicknamed it the “Dua Lipa TV Box.” Social media comments included users saying they would buy the TV simply because her picture appeared on it.
The singer currently partners with brands including Puma, Versace, and Nespresso.
