The television drama serial ‘Sang-e-Mah’, which is expected to air soon has just showcased its additional cast which includes Hania Aamir in the storyline.
Directed by Saife Hassan, the drama’s first season titled ‘Sang e Mar Mar’ became critically popular back in 2016. Now its second season is at work with a unique storyline and exceptional cast.
Now it has been revealed that besides Nouman Ijaz and his son, Atif Aslam and Kubra Khan, Hania Aamir will also join the cast. It is to be noted here that the drama will mark a debut for Atif Aslam’s appearance on the small screen. The actor also starred in 2011’s blockbuster ‘Bol’ opposite Mahira Khan.
Speaking about Sang e Mah, director Saife Hassan revealed that such a project has not been released in Pakistan till date. According to him, the first part of the trilogy will focus on Pakhtoon family issues and will also tackle problematic traditions such as forced marriages.

The project is going to be released in January, added Saife Hassan. Sang-e-Mah is the sequel to 2016’s Sang-e-Mar Mar, which starred Kubra Khan, Sania Saeed, Ijaz, and Mikaal Zulfiqar.
Sang-e-Marmar
Sang-e-Marmar is a 2016 drama, revolves around a Pashtun family of Gulistan Khan and his family. Gulistan follows strict Pashtun traditions, such as avoiding western clothing, which is considered a threat to Pashtun traditional values. Gulistan’s youngest son Aurang was sent to Peshawar University and, unlike his elder siblings, possesses urban and literal views. His only emotional attachment is to his mother, who is the reason he often visits his village ‘Garhi Baran.’
