Dr. Nighat Shah, Head of the Gynecology and Obstetrics Department at Jinnah Hospital, has said that her intention is not to create any obstacle to the posting or promotion of any other doctor.

Speaking to Geo News, Dr. Nighat Shah said that her contract in the Gynecology Department had been extended and that the extension would not affect the posting of any associate professor.

She explained that several gynecology units had remained non-functional since 2013, while a previously closed unit at Jinnah Hospital was restored in 2022.
