The audience is loving drama serial for not only challenging the social taboo of a widow remarrying and a younger man but also how she is choosing the partner for her and her happiness. Dobara has everything; an excellent script, perfect acting, direction, and realistic dialogues. In short, the drama is extremely refreshing.

The story of Dobara highlights the social issues faced by a woman after getting married to a man younger than her. The plot is a challenging one as it addresses the taboos of society.
The drama story revolves around the life of a woman named Mehru, played by Hadiqa Kiani who belongs to a rich family and falls in love with a young boy Maahir, played by Bilal Abbas. Mehru has one daughter and one son.

She is constantly reminded; in the beginning by her sister-in-law (Sakina Samo), then her friends at a party, and now her son Affan, that she is supposed to be mourning over her dead husband all her life. This is somewhat has become our sorry plight.
Our society wants to see women in the set stereotypes of Naik Parveen. Our society can see a man hitting his wife publically but not showing affection to her.
In short, our society can make women feel guilty and even hold them accountable for moving on from grief or a loss of a loved one.

Dobara is a beautiful drama that has a very lighthearted feel to it. It has managed to touch difficult topics with such subtlety and finesse. Hadiqa Kiana, in just two acting endeavors, has proven her skills well.
