LAHORE: The Punjab police have claimed that the DNA sample of the suspect in the motorway gang rape incident has been matched.
A meeting of the inquiry committee probing into the motorway case was held today. The members of the inquiry committee briefed the Chief Minister Punjab and shared the important developments in the case.
According to the police, the DNA sample of the suspect has been matched. The suspect’s DNA sample was already present in the Forensic Science Agency’s DNA bank, which matched the samples taken from the rape victim.
The suspect has a criminal record and that important progress has been made in the case, however, he has not been arrested yet. On the other hand, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Shahbaz Gill has also confirmed this through his official account.

According to Shahbaz Gul, the DNA of the suspect in the motorway tragedy has been matched. On Wednesday, a woman was gang-raped on the motorway in the Gujjar Pura area of Lahore.
