ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar is reported to have held a meeting with PPP Co-Chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari here on Sunday. Media reports suggest that during the meeting, both leaders discussed the current political situation prevailing in the country.
The meeting came amid reports that Asif Zardari had decided to stay in Lahore to ponder ways and means for ousting Pervaiz Ellahi led provincial government.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan, addressing public gathering in Rawalpindi last night, had announced to quit from all provincial assemblies, after which federal interior minister Rana Sanaullah quickly responded that the dissolution of assembles would not be easier since PMNL had planned to move requisitions and motions.
The ruling coalition led by Shehbaz Sharif had already become active for change in the province of Punjab and had reportedly assigned task to Asif Zardari to achieve this goal.
Informed sources claimed that Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) President Asif Ali Zardari will travel to Lahore soon and stay there for a few days for Mission Lahore.
The sources also said that the purpose of ‘Mission Lahore’ is to pave the way for installing Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and allies’ government in Punjab as well.
