LAHORE: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has arrested two suspected terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Okara, officials said on Friday.
According to CTD officials, the suspects were identified as Abdul Aziz and Wilayat Shah, both residents of Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
A search of their possession led to the recovery of 4 kilograms of explosives, three IEDs, three Kalashnikov rifles, cash, and other terrorist-related equipment.

Officials said the suspects were allegedly planning to carry out attacks in Sahiwal and Okara.
The recovered material has been taken into custody, while a case has been registered against the suspects and further investigation is underway.
