ISLAMABAD: Cracks among the opposition parties alliance, Pakistan Democratic Alliance (PDM) are widening after Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) decision to contest Senate elections, according to sources.
According to details, during the meeting between Maryam Nawaz and JUI-F’s chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) expressed displeasure over one-sided decisions taken by the PPP.
“Bilawal signed Charter of Pakistan and how he is backing from the decisions”, sources privy to the development said. In this regard, Maulana Fazlur Rehman and PML-N’s Maryam Nawaz devised a new strategy in order to oust the Imran Khan-led government.
Sources further informed that Fazlur Rehman also expressed his anger over the recent meeting of Muhammad Ali Durrani with the PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif in jail. “We are fighting against political interference of the establishment and Shehbaz is meeting with their representatives,” he added.
Sources also said that Maulana Fazlur told Maryam Nawaz that if the entire PDM is eliminated, he will hold a long march in any case and will also stage a sit-in in Islamabad.
Furthermore, PML-N also raised objection over Asif Ali Zardari’s contacts with the establishment. The meeting was also informed that so far the PDM has completely failed to achieve its desired results, according to sources.
