LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has set a target of transforming Punjab into an Artificial Intelligence (AI) enabled province by 2029.
In this regard, Provincial Advisor Ali Mustafa Dar called on Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to hold consultations on the formal launch of Punjab AI Vision 2029.
During the meeting, the Advisor briefed the Chief Minister on the performance of the AI Office over the last two months and on the establishment of Punjab’s first Artificial Intelligence enabled delivery unit.
Ali Mustafa Dar also briefed the Chief Minister on the dedicated team formed to implement Punjab’s Artificial Intelligence agenda and the onboarding program prepared with the assistance of experts.
The meeting reviewed the progress made so far on the vision of making Punjab an AI-enabled province and discussed the future course of action.
A detailed briefing was also given to the Chief Minister on the six basic pillars of AI Vision 2029.
On the occasion, it was reiterated that government services, governance and the public convenience system in Punjab will be further improved through the effective use of modern technology and artificial intelligence.
