The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has announced that the annual exams of class XI and XII will start from May 5.
In this regard, BIEK has released the date sheet for the annual exams.
As per the date sheet released by BIEK, the first paper of the 11th grade will be held on May 5 and the Intermediate exams will continue till May 29. Paper time set from 9am to 12pm.
As many as 126,500 students will appear in the intermediate exams this year, out of which 34,500 students will appear in the exams in the evening shift.
Moreover, 182 examination centers have been set up across Karachi for the intermediate exams out of which 36 examination centers has been declared sensitive and Section 144 imposed around the examination centers.
A letter has also been sent to seek the services of Rescue 1122 in view of the intense heat during the intermediate exams.
Chairman Inter Board said all possible steps are being taken to make the conduct of the exams transparent.
He said foolproof security arrangements have been made at the examination centers, says Chairman Inter Board.
Teams from the College Education Department and the Intermediate Board were included in the vigilance.
