Pakistan’s automobile industry is rapidly moving towards modern technology, and Chinese automaker Chery now appears to be actively pursuing new developments in the local market.

Chery Master Pakistan — a joint venture between Chery Automobile of China and Pakistan’s Master Group of Industries — is considering the introduction of two to three new vehicles for Pakistani consumers in the near future.

The potential models under consideration include the Tiggo 4 Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV), the QQ Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), and the Tiggo V.

According to a company statement, following its participation in Auto China 2026, Chery Master Pakistan indicated that it is planning to introduce more advanced vehicle models for Pakistani consumers. This strategy forms part of Chery’s broader global plan to launch 13 new vehicles over the next two years, including petrol, hybrid, and electric models.

The line-up is expected to feature SUVs, sedans, urban transport vehicles, and pickup trucks.

The company stated that the significance of such vehicles in Pakistan is increasing as consumers increasingly prefer automobiles that are fuel-efficient, practical for everyday use, and equipped with modern technology amid rising fuel prices and changing transportation needs.

Chief Executive Officer of Chery Master Pakistan, Sameer Malik, said that Pakistan represents an important emerging market for modern mobility technologies. According to him, the company is currently evaluating models that align with local road conditions, consumer expectations, and future mobility trends.

During Auto China 2026, Chery also showcased the QQ BEV, a compact electric vehicle capable of travelling approximately 410 kilometres on a single charge. The company stated that the vehicle is being introduced as an affordable urban transport solution, which could make it particularly suitable for densely populated cities such as Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad.

Meanwhile, the Tiggo V concept has been presented as a versatile vehicle combining the spaciousness of an SUV, the comfort of an MPV, and the practicality of a pickup-style vehicle. According to the company, the multi-purpose characteristics of the vehicle align closely with the growing demand in Pakistan for family-oriented vehicles capable of meeting business, daily commuting, and travel requirements simultaneously.

The company further stated that the Tiggo 4 Hybrid Electric Vehicle would expand Chery’s hybrid portfolio into a more affordable market segment, potentially creating new opportunities within Pakistan’s compact SUV market.

The statement added that hybrid technology is rapidly gaining popularity due to improved fuel economy and the limited charging infrastructure currently available for fully electric vehicles. Such models, it said, could play an important role in promoting new-energy vehicles across the country.
