Oscar winner Alfonso Cuarón is returning to the small screen with “Disclaimer,” an all-star psychological thriller on Apple TV+ that stars Sacha Baron Cohen, Cate Blanchett, and Kevin Kline.
The first two chapters of the series will be released on Friday, October 11, 2024, marking its launch.
Producer Cuaron of “Gravity” and “Roma,” created, written and directed the seven-part psychological thriller which is based on Renee Knight’s 2015 novel of the same name.
Cate Blanchett plays the center character of respectable journalist Catherine Ravenscroft, who is renowned for uncovering other people’s misconducts. When she opens an anonymous manuscript and finds she is the main character, her entire world is turned upside down. Long-kept secrets from her own history are revealed, endangering not just her reputation but also her marriage to Baron Cohen’s character Robert and their bond to Kodi Smit-McPhee’s character Nicholas.
Catherine’s personal and professional lives are in danger as she works to identify the author and faces the shocking facts the tale reveals.
