After an intense aerial bombardment in Gaza by Israel for over two-week, the Israeli government has advanced to what they label as “phase two” of the conflict.
Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have initiated a ground offensive within the enclave to confront Hamas. Approximately 1.1 million Palestinians have been instructed to move south of the strip or risk being seen as supporters of Hamas.
The amplified efforts by Western mouthpieces to shape the narrative has weakened to a pathetic level, with a discerning global audience expressing skepticism against it and coming out in large numbers to protest against Israel’s atrocities. Doing so in such a time becomes a moral imperative.
As the assault continues, Israel’s intentions have become evident, that it is doing genocide under the name of self-defense, which is equally being supported by its western allies.
The head of the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees told a U.N. emergency meeting that “an immediate humanitarian cease-fire has become a matter of life and death for millions,” accusing Israel of “collective punishment” of Palestinians and the forced displacement of civilians.
Philippe Lazzarini warned that a further breakdown of civil order after the agency’s warehouses were broken into by Palestinians searching for food and other aid “will make it extremely difficult, if not impossible, for the largest U.N. agency in Gaza to continue operating.”
Despite UN resolutions, condemnations, and protests across the globe, the Israeli regime is continuing its assault on innocent Palestinians, who have nothing to do with the attacks of Hamas.
There is a need to put an end to the atrocities of Israel in the region, else the region might become a trigger point for a wider conflict.
