ISLAMABAD: The government of Pakistan has allocated Rs 15.33 million in the budget 2026-27 for the renovation of the Prime Minister’s Office.
As per the to budget documents, a separate Rs 53 million have also been allocated for the construction of 12 apartments in the Minister’s Enclave, Islamabad.
Similarly for the renovation of PM Staff Colony Rs 80 million has been allocated.
According to budget documents, an estimated expenditure of Rs 189.7 million will be incurred on the project by 30 June 2026, while the total estimated cost of the project stands at Rs 343.1 million.
Earlier, the federal budget 2026-27 proposed billions of rupees in allocations for salaries, allowances and operational expenses of Parliament and its members, according to budget documents.
The documents showed that Rs9.67 billion was proposed for the Senate, while Rs17.46 billion is suggested for the National Assembly.
For Senate members’ salaries and privileges, Rs1.22 billion was allocated. An amount of Rs218.9 million was proposed for the Chairman Senate, Deputy Chairman and Senate Secretariat.
Similarly, Rs104.8 million was allocated for the Leader of the Opposition in the Senate and their secretariat, while Rs1.58 billion was proposed for chairpersons of Senate standing committees.
