Blessed day of the week

Allah Almighty did not create anything in the world without a purpose, but everything has its own importance, utility and purpose, which sometimes takes centuries for mankind to understand.

For example, there are 7 days in a week and 12 months in a year, and when we consider the division of these months and days, the wisdom of Allah is seen in them too. Regarding the months, Allah Almighty said in verse 36 of Surah Al-Tobah:

Verily, the counting of months in the sight of Allah is 12 months in the Book of Allah, from the day He created the heavens and the earth, and 4 of them are sacred months.

There is also a concept of 7 days a week in Islam. In Arabic, the first day of the week starts with Sunday, which is called Yum Al-Ahd, then Atnain, Talasa, Arbaa, Al-Khamis, Juma’a and Al-Sabbath, i.e. seven days end on the week, however, any day is called good, bad or worst. So it depended on the events that happened on that day according to Islamic history.

Two days before today, on October 17, the Guinness Book of World Records declared Monday as the worst day of the week. The Twitter message said that most people, whether they are employees or students, take Saturday and Sunday off. Returning to work on Monday after two days of rest is a strain on the health.

People around the world had mixed feelings about Monday, with the Guinness Book of World Records declaring Monday as the worst day of the week, with various comments from social media users and many people calling it the worst day of the week. The decision was declared correct by most of people.

As Muslims, we should know that the last prophet of Allah, Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (Peace Be Upon Him) was born on Monday. Imam Ibn Jarir al-Tabari says that the Messenger of Allah was born on Monday, the 12th of Rabiul Awwal, Aamul feeel.

Feeel means elephant in Arabic and if we study Islamic history, we find that Aam al-Feeel is the year when a man named Abraha attacked the Kaaba of Allah with his army of elephants. History says that his nose was cut off during a battle.

The Arab people, especially the Bedouins, have a historical reputation for their candor and boldness. When a Bedouin found out about Abraha that he was going to climb the Kaaba, he could not help but say that he was going to perform a feat that no one with a nose could think of doing.

Abraha knew that the Bedouin would be beheaded, but would not go back on his word. So he became silent and then came the time when he attacked the Kaaba with an army mounted on elephants. Then, according to the verses of Surah Al-Feeel, Ababil brought pebbles and destroyed his army.

Because Abraha attacked the Kaaba with elephants, the Arab nation named this year Aam al-Feeel and according to Imam Ibn Jarir al-Tabari, the Prophet was born on Monday of that year.

It has already been mentioned that according to the Guinness Book of World Records, Monday is the worst day, however, this day is highly respected by the Muslim nation because the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) came to the world on this very day.
