Like other countries, online scammers are also active in Pakistan, and day by day, they are adopting new methods to cheat and loot citizens. Now, a new online scam has reportedly hit the market.
As per a post on the social media platform Instagram: “A new scam is spreading in the market. People receive messages saying, ‘You have a fine of this much, click on this link.’ You should never open such links. By doing so, your data, WhatsApp, or even your entire phone can be hacked, and all your personal information can end up in the hands of scammers.”

It should be noted that scammers in Pakistan are using the names of different institutions, like the Benazir Income Support Program, to deceive innocent people and loot their money. However, in most cases, the culprits go unpunished due to the lack of efficiency of the government institutions responsible for curbing such activities and prosecuting those behind these scams.
