Dollar Hits Rs278.20 in Open Market; Fresh Forex Rates Out

KARACHI: Fresh foreign exchange rates for Pakistan’s open market and interbank market were released on Saturday. According to the rates updated at 10:11 am, the US dollar was quoted at Rs277.95 for buying and Rs278.20 for selling in the open market.

The euro was quoted at Rs316.53 for buying and Rs321.68 for selling in the open market, while the British pound stood at Rs373.25 for buying and Rs377.65 for selling.

The Australian dollar was quoted at Rs196.25 for buying and Rs201.35 for selling, while the Canadian dollar stood at Rs196.73 for buying and Rs201.75 for selling. The Chinese yuan was quoted at Rs38.25 for buying and Rs38.97 for selling.

The Japanese yen was quoted at Rs1.7339 for buying and Rs1.8337 for selling. The Saudi riyal stood at Rs74 for buying and Rs74.55 for selling, while the UAE dirham was quoted at Rs75.75 for buying and Rs76.40 for selling.

In the interbank market, the US dollar had a bank buying rate of Rs277.05 and a bank selling rate of Rs277.55. The euro was quoted at Rs314.99 for buying and Rs315.56 for selling.

The British pound was quoted at Rs366.03 for buying and Rs366.69 for selling in the interbank market. The Saudi riyal stood at Rs73.75 for buying and Rs73.89 for selling, while no UAE dirham rate was included in the provided interbank rate list.

The Australian dollar was quoted at Rs194.33 for buying and Rs194.68 for selling in the interbank market, while the Canadian dollar stood at Rs195.84 for buying and Rs196.19 for selling. The Chinese yuan was quoted at Rs41.23 for buying and Rs41.30 for selling.

The Japanese yen was quoted at Rs1.7498 for buying and Rs1.7529 for selling. The Singapore dollar stood at Rs216.57 for buying and Rs216.96 for selling, while the Swiss franc was quoted at Rs336.17 for buying and Rs336.78 for selling.

In the interbank market, the Hong Kong dollar was quoted at Rs35.33 for buying and Rs35.40 for selling. The Danish krone stood at Rs42.14 for buying and Rs42.22 for selling, while the Swedish krona was quoted at Rs27.93 for buying and Rs27.98 for selling.

The Thai baht was quoted at Rs8.29 for buying and Rs8.31 for selling in the interbank market.
