ISLAMABAD: The Shehbaz government has revised the prices of petroleum products, increasing the price of petrol by Rs2.02 per litre while reducing the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs3.59 per litre, as global crude oil prices declined in international markets.
Under the revised prices, the ex-depot price of petrol has been set at Rs391.30 per litre, while the price of high-speed diesel has been reduced to Rs408.53 per litre.
The revised petroleum prices will remain effective from September 26 to September 28, 2026, under the government’s petroleum pricing mechanism.
Meanwhile, crude oil prices also declined in international markets. During trading, Brent crude fell by $1.34, or 1.3%, to $105.26 per barrel.
Similarly, the price of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude declined by $1.83, or 1.9%, to $92.78 per barrel.
Despite the decline in global crude oil prices, Brent has gained 1.5% so far this week. In contrast, WTI has fallen by 7.4% during the same period.
