KARACHI: Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC) apprehended four suspects in separate raids in the metropolis for their alleged involvement in vehicle theft from different parts of the city.
SSP AVLC said one of the suspect involved in snatching motorcycles was detained with the help of CCTV footage. The AVLC police also seized two motorcycles from his custody.
He further said that the suspect is also wanted by the police in the number of other criminal cases, said the SSP.
He told that the AVLC also conducted a raid in Karachi’s Jamshed Town area and nabbed three alleged criminals for their involvement in car-theft incidents in the metropolis. The police also recovered a vehicle stolen from them in Ferozabad area.
The police have registered FIRs under relevant laws and further investigation is underway to uncover their other acts of vehicle snatching and theft in Karachi.
Earlier, the police detained members of a car lifting gang have disclosed they sold snatched vehicles worth 170 million rupees in 10 million.
