ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan today (Thursday) has reiterated that ensuring the availability of wheat and sugar at reasonable prices was the government’s foremost priority.
The Prime Minister expressed his views while chairing a high-level meeting on the availability and prices of wheat and sugar in Islamabad. “This will help in preventing the general public from facing difficulties in getting basic food,” he added.
PM Imran also expressed satisfaction over the current available wheat stock in the country, particularly in Punjab. He also directed the concerned authorities for advance arrangements for future needs.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan also chaired a meeting of the National Coordination Committee for Housing, Construction, and Development in Islamabad.
During the meeting, PM Imran reassured the investors in the construction sector that the government was committed to remove any obstacle in the way of construction projects.
He also expressed satisfaction over the keen interest shown by investors, builders, and constructors in the Ravi Front Urban Development Project and Bundal Island projects.
Referring to Ravi Urban Development Project, PM Imran said that 90 percent of Pakistani products would be used in the project which would boost the local industry.
“These two projects will pave the way for the investment of billions of rupees and would become milestones in economic development,” the premier concluded.
