HAFIZABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has he is not concerned about attempts being made to dislodge his government by buying loyalties.

Addressing a public gathering in Hafizabad on Sunday, the prime minister said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government will complete unprecedented development works in the country’s history before completion of its current five years term. ‘Dont worry, the government is not going anyway. Corrupt elements have united against me but I know how to fight them,” he said.

The prime minister said justice, humanity and self-reliance are fundamental principles of the state. He said that youth is the future of our nation and all measures are being taken for their progress.

He said that Rehmatulil Aalamin (PBUH) Authority was formed to guide the nation to the right path and research will be conducted in educational institutions as children should know about Sunnah-e Rasool (PBUH). He said that those nations are ruined who deviate from their ideology.

The prime minister said that he has been preaching for twenty five years to make corrupt people accountable. He said that he came into politics to unite the whole nation. He said that for the first time in the country’s history, a uniform national syllabus has been introduced to bring all children under a similar syllabus.

He said that religious seminaries are also being brought under this syllabus. He said that all students will be taught similar syllabus along with English. He said that the distribution of students’ scholarships is being made transparent.

Prime Minister Imran Khan said that Pakistan desire friendly and peaceful relations with all countries including the United States but will never compromise on its sovereignty. “A nation is formed on the basis of an ideology. Unless a nation realizes the ideology behind creation of a homeland, it cannot become a nation and often recedes into oblivion,” he opined.

The premier said record drone attacks were carried out in the tenures of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and the Pakistan People’s Party. He alleged that both Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari allowed drone attacks into Pakistani territories.

In an apparent jibe at MQM-founder, the prime minister said a terrorist wanted to Pakistan is hiding in the United Kingdom for the last 30 years. “Will UK allow Pakistan to carry a drone attack to take him out,” he asked.

Defending the recent criticism on European countries, the premier said he knows the West better than anyone and his statements were the need of time. He also thanked China for handing over J-10C fighter jets to Pakistan in record time of seven months to strengthen the country’s defence.

He said government is working hard to transform Pakistan into a welfare state and numerous steps have been taken in this regard including interest-free loans, scholarships to students and health cards.

Regarding the recent Indian missile firing, he said Pakistan adopted a prudent approach. “Pakistan is a country that can defend itself. Pakistan is moving on the right path and its economy is set on the right course,” he added.
