KARACHI: Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, the daughter of Former President Asif Ali Zardari has stated that the Sindh Premier League (SPL) is a great initiative.
While she was a chief guest at the opening ceremony of the SPL here on Friday night, she said that Sindh Premier League is a great initiative in this province and among the youngsters and we all know how capable Sindh youth is.
She also mentioned that Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto believed that Pakistan belongs to everyone. “We already know that sports united the masses and cricket plays a key factor in Pakistan. This province is full of talented people but they need the right direction,” she said by adding, “If we witnessed proper democracy then the future would prosper, she claimed that the Sindh Government always takes initiative for the people of Sindh and she extended her wishes to all participating teams and hoped for an exciting tournament ahead.”
Before, Sindh Premier League President, Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab, caretaker provincial minister Dr. Junaid Ali Shah, and Ahmed Shah also addressed the inaugural ceremony of PSL. Former captain Pakistan cricket team, great batter Javed Miandad, former all-rounder Shahid Afridi, and Abdul Razzaq were also present at the event.
The six teams of Sindh divisions are participating in the national which will go on from 25th January to 5th February 2024.
