The Arif Habib Group-led consortium is set to take full control of Pakistan International Airlines by acquiring the remaining 25% government stake, paving the way for a complete privatization of the national carrier.

Having already secured a 75% share in December 2025, the move will allow the consortium to implement comprehensive management reforms, expand the fleet, and enhance customer service without government oversight, marking a major step in PIA’s long-awaited revival.

Shahid Ali Habib, CEO of Arif Habib Ltd, said management changes are expected by late April, enabling PIA to operate fully as a private entity.
