A leaked audio clip allegedly featuring drug accused Anmol alias Pinky has sparked controversy, with claims that she openly challenged law enforcement authorities and boasted about continuing narcotics activities without fear.
In the audio, the voice attributed to the suspect is heard mocking police officials and daring them to arrest her if they have the courage.
She is also allegedly heard claiming that certain areas of Karachi have been turned into “dark alleys” beyond the reach of authorities, while using derogatory language for law enforcement personnel.
The clip has triggered widespread discussion on social media and raised questions about the reach and effectiveness of ongoing crackdowns against drug networks.
Meanwhile, the accused had earlier been sent to jail on judicial remand by a local court in Karachi during the hearing of a narcotics recovery case. The court directed the investigating officer to submit a charge sheet within 14 days.
According to police, Anmol was arrested from the Garden area of Karachi, and recovered items included hashish, other narcotics worth over Rs1.5 million, and a pistol with ammunition. Officials allege she was operating a well-organized drug network supplying narcotics across different parts of the country.
Investigators further claim the network involved multiple associates and used coded names to conceal operations. The probe into her wider connections and alleged network continues.
